Who Is Lori?
At the heart of 113 Clay Avenue is Lori, a lifelong lover of fine craftsmanship and timeless Southern tradition. Lori discovered her passion for heirloom sewing during her years at Auburn University, where her appreciation for artistry and detail truly began to flourish. It was there that she met and trained under Sara Howard Stone and her daughter, Melissa Stone, renowned master heirloom seamstresses whose skill, patience, and dedication to the craft left a lasting impression.
Today, Lori’s Heirlooms is dedicated to keepsakes that tell a story. From christening gowns to special-occasion apparel, we believe in sewing pieces meant to be cherished, passed down, and remembered. Our mission is simple: to honor the art of heirloom sewing by crafting beautiful items that feel as meaningful as the moments they’re made for.
In addition to heirloom sewing, Lori offers embroidery, needlepoint finishing, and thoughtful wedding‑day preparation services. Whether adding personalized details, completing cherished needlework pieces, or ensuring your wedding day is perfect, she brings the same care and artistry to each service she provides.
